Finding the light

Finding the light is a series of macro self portraits exploring insecurities that I have learned to love. This project was very intimate and quite healing, helping me come to terms with the pieces of myself I can't change and framing them in a beautiful light. I had taken self portraits before during the lockdowns however this was my first time doing anything this raw, in these faceless images I bare myself for the camera, ripping apart my personal insecurities. The lighting in this project fades from dark and moody to light and bright symbolising my slow acceptance of my body.
